
Gale was just 18 when won a modelling competition at the age of 18 in Perth. After modeling for several years, Gale became famous in 1999 after she was cast as part of an advertising campaign from Omnitel which is now Vodafone Italy. She appeared in their ads until the year 2006. It was the Australian Tourist Commission also hired the model in 2003 to serve as"the "face of Australia" on the continent of Italy. Gale has been featured on the covers of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale has been a model for Italian fashion houses, including Gianfranco Ferre Genny, Gai Mattiolo as well as runway shows with Mariella Burani, and Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also a fan of many Australian designers such as Colette Dinnigan Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. She was the fashion specialist for the Logies the award for an Australian television award, in 2006. Gale quit modeling runways in January of 2008, after fifteen years. She walked her final catwalk for the David Jones Winter Collection Launch in Sydney a few weeks later. Her final look was the Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the upcoming movie Justice League of America. Gale made a return to her runway on March of 2011 to complete the Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. Gale was celebrating her 10th anniversary at David Jones in August 2011 and was awarded the longest contract for fashion offered by an Australian. Gale was joined by Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris in the same month. Gale made an appearance in a L'Oreal shampoo commercial in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
